Mood Disorders
I work with individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, mood instability, and related emotional difficulties across many different contexts and life experiences. Sometimes these struggles emerge in response to a specific loss, transition, relationship issue, or stressor, while in other cases they feel more longstanding or difficult to fully explain.
Rather than viewing symptoms in isolation, I try to understand them within the broader context of a person’s emotional life, relationships, history, and internal experiences. Feelings such as sadness, hopelessness, chronic worry, shame, irritability, or emotional emptiness often have deeper roots and meanings that deserve thoughtful exploration rather than simple symptom management alone.
My approach combines emotional insight, practical reflection, and a collaborative therapeutic relationship that helps clients better understand themselves while working toward greater stability, flexibility, and emotional relief.
Client Fit
I may be a good fit for therapy with you if you are experiencing symptoms of anxiety, depression like irritability, emotional ups and downs, or a persistent sense that something feels worrisome or off.
You may find yourself functioning day-to-day while internally feeling overwhelmed, or noticing patterns of worry, sadness, avoidance, shame, or self-criticism that keep returning despite your efforts to move through them.
In our work together, we can make space to understand what these emotional experiences are connected to, how they have developed over time, and to cultivate ways to cope and ultimately feel relief.
